Beginning Digital Camera I - NEW Class with extra week added. Instructor- Ann Nermoe. Demystify all those funny looking icons and menus by attending this informative series of classes. Learn how to navigate through them on your camera and create better pictures. Also covered will be downloading, organizing, and printing your pictures. The last class will include a local shoot experience around the Pier Village and a chance top shoare with others in teh class - a valuable learning experience for all. Requirement- a digital camera. Call early to sign up for this popular class. Cost: 4 weeks of classes - $90 ($100 for non-members). NEW CLASS BEGINS JULY 13 & CONTINUES ON 7/20 & 7/27.
Beginning Digital Camera II - "The Sequel" NEW CLASS This follow-up class concentrates on what to do with those pictures you still have on your camera card or computer that you have not organized, edited or shared with anyone. Wioth Picasa, a free software for Google, you will learn how to successfully edit your pictures in a few easy steps, how to email pictures, upload to a web gallery and to create other pirjects with your pictures. Laptop computer required. 3 weeks of classes - $80 ($90 for non-members).

Papermaking workshop
Learn how to make a sheet of paper. Learn how to use found objects like tin cans and cookie cutters to make paper. Learn about adding plant material to create one-of-a-kind paper.
Saturday May 8 from 10am-4pm; bring a brown-bag lunch, Glynn Art will supply the drinks.
What to bring? Participants need a towel, bucket, old paper already torn into 1" pieces and in plastic bags, any old tin cookie cutters to use as deckles, rolling pins and old newspaper.

Portraits in Clay with clay portrait artist Mary Whitty. Learn how to measure a model and work from the mdoel and photos to creat a clay bust of a person. Class is held at the Glynn Art Pottery Studio at 217 Skylane Road, McKinnon Business Park.
Cost is $140 plus $45 for clay, tools and model fee. Class held back to back on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for 3 weeks and a final Tuesday class to apply a finish.

Metal Jewelry Class with Lisa Kent. Introduction to fabricating jewelry. By using sheet metal and wire, you will learn techniques for cutting, forming, decorating, and cold-connections. Class will use brass and copper. Bring a small sketchbook and pencil, tools if you have any, and your willingness to learn!
Class meets for four Thursday nights at the Glynn Art Atelier, 221 Skylane Road.
Cost: $155 non-members/$145 members (Tools and materials included except sterling silver, if desired.) |
